Description

The Juniper SSR1500-E-CHAS is a 1U Session Smart Router chassis built for large branch, campus and data-centre WAN edge deployments. It provides 12 x 1GbE/10GbE/25GbE SFP28 ports alongside 4 x 1GbE RJ-45 data ports, with up to 50 Gbps of unencrypted 1500-byte throughput. This SKU is the chassis supplied with two redundant PSUs, NICs, TPM and rackmount kit, with SSR software sold separately.

Session Smart Routing applies zero-trust, per-session security with a Layer 2-5 stateful firewall, NAT, VPN and adaptive encryption. The SSR1500 pairs 512 GB of RAM with 1 TB of SSD storage, hot-swappable redundant AC power supplies and removable fan trays, and supports zero-touch provisioning and Mist WAN Assurance for simplified operations.

Q: What is included with the SSR1500-E-CHAS?
A: This SKU is the SSR1500 chassis supplied with two PSUs, NICs, TPM and a rackmount kit. The Session Smart Router software is sold separately.

Q: Does this router include the SSR software licence?
A: No. The SSR software is separate and must be ordered in addition to the chassis.

Q: What WAN and LAN port options does it have?
A: It has 12 x 1GbE/10GbE/25GbE SFP28 ports and 4 x 1GbE RJ-45 data ports, plus a dedicated management port and console port. The onboard ports are not field configurable or replaceable.

Q: What throughput can the SSR1500 deliver?
A: It delivers up to 50 Gbps of unencrypted 1500-byte throughput, with encrypted throughput also reaching 50 Gbps at 1500 bytes on a single NIC.

Q: Does it support redundant power?
A: Yes. It uses redundant 1+1 AC power supplies and removable fan trays, accepting 100-240 V AC at 50-60 Hz.

Q: Does the SSR1500 support PoE or LTE?
A: No. PoE+ ports and LTE modules are not supported on this model.
