Description

The Juniper MX480 Premium3 AC bundle is an 8-slot, 8U modular edge router for service provider and cloud edge deployments that need carrier-grade high availability. This Premium3 bundle combines the enhanced midplane with redundant Routing Engines, redundant SCBE switch control boards and redundant AC power, giving a complete resilient chassis foundation for core and aggregation roles.

The chassis provides 6 DPC/MPC line card slots plus 2 SCB slots, with system capacity up to 9 Tbps and up to 1.5 Tbps of switch fabric capacity per slot. It runs Junos OS on the programmable Trio chipset, supports 10GbE, 40GbE and 100GbE interfaces, and shares common FRUs with the MX240 and MX960 platforms.
