Description

The ACX5448-X-AC-AFO is a 1-RU universal metro router combining 48 flexible 1GbE/10GbE SFP/SFP+ ports with four 40GbE/100GbE QSFP28 uplinks. This AC-powered, front-to-back airflow variant carries the -X software tier, which includes L2 features, IGP, MPLS and BGP without VRF, making it suited to metro aggregation, IP/MPLS VPN services and service provider edge deployments preparing for 5G rollout.

Built on Junos OS, the ACX5448 delivers Layer 3 VPN, integrated routing and bridging, and L2-L4 stateless filtering in a compact, space- and cost-optimised chassis. Redundant AC power supplies and hot-swappable fan modules support resilient operation, while the 10GbE to 100GbE port mix eases migration as bandwidth demands grow.
