Description

The HPE MSA 2070 Gen7 SAN storage array is a 2U, 12-bay large form factor (LFF) block storage system fitted with two controllers, each providing four 16Gb Fibre Channel host ports. It is TAA-compliant, making it suited to government and public-sector procurement as well as SMB shared storage and virtualisation environments. The array supports SAS HDD and SSD media and ships without drives.

Two redundant 580W power supplies support continuous operation, and the array can be scaled with up to nine expansion enclosures (2U 12-drive LFF and/or 2U 24-drive SFF), taking capacity beyond 7 PB per array. Compared with MSA Gen6, HPE rates the Gen7 platform at up to 2x more random IOPS and 30% more sequential bandwidth.
