Description

The HPE G2 PDU Sensor Port Hub is a sensor port hub that expands one physical sensor port on an HPE G2 Metered or Metered and Switched PDU into three. It lets a single PDU support more environmental sensors for temperature, humidity, door and intrusion, and fluid leak monitoring in the rack.

The hub provides four parallel RJ45 ports labelled 1 to 4, where any port can connect to the PDU or to a sensor. Up to two hubs can be used per PDU, taking it from 2 to 6 sensor ports. Sensor data is viewable in the PDU web UI, or through SNMP and the Redfish API, and sensors can be installed without powering down the PDU or connected devices.
