Description

The HPE MSA 2070 LFF iSCSI storage array is a 2U entry-level shared storage system with dual active/active controllers, twelve large form factor (3.5-inch) drive bays and 10/25GbE iSCSI host connectivity. This model provides eight 10/25GbE iSCSI host ports in total (four per controller), two 580W redundant power supplies, and is supplied without drives so it can be configured to suit SMB workloads such as virtualisation, file services and backup targets.

Capacity scales with 12Gb SAS expansion enclosures, up to nine per array, for as many as 120 LFF drives and 2.88 PB of raw capacity. Supported media includes LFF 7.2K HDDs from 8 TB to 24 TB and a 1.92 TB LFF SSD, with RAID 1, 5, 6, 10 and MSA-DP+ protection. Thin provisioning, snapshots, automated tiering and online firmware updates help keep management simple, and the array is designed to be customer self-installable and self-repairable.
