The HPE MSA 2070 SFF Storage Array is an entry-level Gen7 SAN solution built for SMB and ProLiant server environments that need high performance at an affordable price. This controller-only SKU ships with two redundant 32Gb Fibre Channel 4-port controllers in a 2U small form factor enclosure, delivering up to 2x more random IOPS and 30% more sequential bandwidth than the previous-generation MSA Gen6. With 24 SFF drive bays and support for up to nine additional expansion enclosures, it scales to a maximum raw capacity of 7.37PB — making it an ideal foundation for growing virtualised and mixed workload environments.

The MSA 2070 supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, and MSA-DP+, sub-LUN automated tiering across up to three tiers, and non-disruptive online firmware updates for controllers and drive media. It is compatible with Windows Server, VMware vSphere, Red Hat Linux, and SUSE SLES, and is certified for use with HPE Morpheus VM Essentials Software.
