The HPE ProLiant Compute DL345 Gen12 Slot 3 PCIe riser kit adds PCIe slot 3 to the DL345 Gen12 server, giving buyers extra expansion capacity for stand-up adapters. The slot is PCIe 5.0 with an x16 bus width and x16 connector, in a full-height, half-length form factor. It is designed exclusively for the DL345 Gen12 and is selected as an optional secondary riser alongside the default Slot 6 riser.

This Slot 3 riser can be combined with the Slot 1/2 riser kit (P81905-B21), which is selected after it in the configuration. It suits deployments that need additional PCIe adapters such as Ethernet, InfiniBand or Fibre Channel HBAs. Thermal limits apply: with the S0K89C CTO server, Slot 3 is supported at 25 C only for CPUs up to 300 W, and is not supported with 320 W or higher CPUs in 24SFF front storage configurations.
