The HPE ProLiant DL580 Gen12 OCP Slot B x16 Enablement Kit provides the cabling and connectivity needed to run an x16 PCIe 5.0 OCP 3.0 network adapter in rear OCP Slot B of the ProLiant Compute DL580 Gen12. It is selected as a Core Option under OCP 3.0 Enablement when configuring the server, making it a required item for builds that use the rear OCP slot.

With the kit installed, the DL580 Gen12 can take OCP 3.0 networking adapters such as the Intel E810 and Broadcom BCM57608 in the rear slot. OCP Slot B is the default rear OCP slot on this server, while Slot A is optional and uses the separate P80427-B21 OCP Slot A x16 Enablement Kit.
