The HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen12 2x8 Tertiary PCIe Riser Kit is an optional PCIe riser kit that adds two half-height, half-length PCIe Gen5 x8 expansion slots (slots 9 and 10) to the ProLiant Compute ML350 Gen12 tower server. Each slot uses an x16 physical connector, making it suited to adding network adapters, storage controllers and other low-profile cards as workloads grow.

The tertiary riser connects to CPU 2 through two MCIO connectors, so a second processor is required for the slots to function with expansion cards. Without a second processor, the riser only provides power for the internal LTO tape drive. It sits alongside the standard 4-slot primary riser and the optional secondary riser kits.
