Description

The HPE NS204i-u v2 480GB NVMe hot-plug boot optimised storage device provides a dedicated OS boot volume for ProLiant DL365 and DL385 Gen11 and Gen12 servers. It ships with two 480 GB M.2 NVMe SSDs and a hardware RAID 1 controller, so the operating system is mirrored on its own module and kept separate from the data plane. It does not consume a front drive bay or a PCIe slot, leaving every bay free for data storage.

The RAID 1 volume is created automatically at boot with automatic drive rebuild, so no further RAID configuration is needed. The device uses native NVMe inbox drivers in Windows, Linux and VMware, and integrates fully with HPE iLO for Redfish management, alerts and GUI monitoring. It is certified for VMware and Microsoft Storage Spaces Direct deployments.
