Description

The 15.36TB NVMe Gen5 read-intensive SSD uses the EDSFF E3.S 1T form factor in an EC1 thin carrier and is built on the SK hynix PE1010 controller. It is designed for HPE Gen11 servers running read-heavy workloads such as databases, cloud compute, containers and hyperscale environments, with a 1.43 DWPD endurance rating.

The PCIe Gen5 interface delivers 268,651 random read IOPS and 242,563 random write IOPS (4KiB, Q=16), while SPDM support adds a security layer for component authentication. The hot-pluggable E3.S format allows higher drive density, with up to 20 drives in a 1U server and 36 drives in a 2U server, along with improved power management compared with previous form factors.
