This 6.4TB NVMe Gen5 SSD from HPE uses the EDSFF E3.S (E3.Short 1T) form factor in an EC1 hot-plug carrier, built on SK hynix PE1030 TLC flash. With a Mixed Use workload rating and an endurance of 4.05 DWPD (47,304 TB lifetime writes), it suits big data analytics, databases, virtualization, cloud computing and HPC deployments on HPE Gen11 and Gen12 servers.

The PCIe Gen5 interface delivers up to 11,502 MiB/s sequential read and 5,851 MiB/s sequential write, with random read and write latency averaging 56 and 10 microseconds. SPDM support and digitally signed firmware add platform-level security, while the E3.S form factor improves thermals, power efficiency and drive density for high-I/O workloads.
