The HPE P77198-B21 ProLiant DL3XX Gen12 NS204i-u Front Enablement Kit is a boot device enablement kit for 1U HPE ProLiant DL320 and DL360 Gen12 servers. This front enablement kit allows the HPE NS204i-u NVMe hot-plug boot optimised storage device to be installed in the front drive cage area, keeping the boot device accessible from the front of the chassis.

The kit is field installable and is the front-location option, distinct from the NS204i-u rear cable kit and the DL320 front cable kit. It is compatible with the 10SFF/20EDSFF Hybrid NC CTO server front cage on the DL360 Gen12. Selecting this kit occupies Box 5, which limits the maximum front drive cage quantity to four. It pairs with the HPE NS204i-u V2 480GB NVMe Hot Plug Boot Optimized Storage Device for dedicated OS boot mirroring.
