Description

The ProLiant DL380a Gen12 NS204i-u Front Cage Kit is a drive cage kit for the HPE ProLiant Compute DL380a Gen12 server, required to install an HPE NS204i-u v2 hot-plug M.2 NVMe boot device in the front chassis slot. This is the cage only and does not include any drives, so the boot device is ordered separately.

Because the NS204i-u v2 boot device mounts in the front cage, it does not occupy a PCIe slot, leaving slots free for GPUs and other expansion cards in the 4U DL380a Gen12 platform. Compatible boot devices include the NS204i-u v2 480GB NVMe, 960GB NVMe and 960GB NVMe SED models.
