Description

The HPE 256GB DDR5-6400 Registered 3DS Smart Memory RDIMM is a high-capacity server memory module for HPE Compute mainstream server platforms. Supplied as a single 1 x 256GB kit, it is a Quad Rank x4 module with CAS latency 60-52-52 and EC8 error correction, delivering higher bandwidth than DDR4 memory for memory-intensive workloads such as virtualisation, databases and analytics.

Built on a 3DS registered DIMM design, this module allows very large memory footprints to be reached with fewer DIMM slots populated. As HPE Smart Memory, it is qualified for use in supported HPE servers. Actual operating speed depends on the platform and DIMM population, for example 5200 MT/s on a DL345 Gen12 with one DIMM per channel and 4000 MT/s with two DIMMs per channel.
