The AMD EPYC 9655 96-core server processor for HPE delivers 96 Zen 5 cores and 192 threads in the SP5 socket, running at a 2.6GHz base clock with boost up to 4.5GHz inside a 400W TDP. This 1P/2P capable 5th Gen EPYC CPU is built for dense virtualisation, HPC and cloud workloads where core count and memory bandwidth drive performance.

The processor pairs 384MB of L3 cache with 12-channel DDR5 memory support and up to 160 PCIe Gen 5 lanes, giving ProLiant Gen11 servers the throughput needed for demanding data centre applications.
