Description

The HPE P72647-B21 is an AMD EPYC 9825 server processor with 144 cores and 288 threads, a 2.2GHz base clock and a 390W default TDP. Built on the Zen 5c architecture in the 5th Gen AMD EPYC 9005 series (Turin), it offers very high core density for virtualisation, cloud and other scale-out data-centre workloads. It uses the SP5 socket and provides 384 MB of L3 cache with boost frequencies up to 3.7GHz.

The processor supports 12-channel DDR5 memory at up to 6400 MT/s and 128 PCIe 5.0 lanes per processor, with AMD Infinity Guard security features and AMD Infinity Architecture. It is supplied as an HPE option for ProLiant DL325 Gen11 and Gen12 servers, and the -B21 SKU is for stand-alone option ordering.
