Description

The ProLiant DL3XX Gen12 1U Universal Media Bay enablement kit adds a front optical drive bay, a DisplayPort video output and a USB 2.0 port to compatible HPE rack servers. This SFF/EDSFF hybrid kit suits environments that need local media access and direct video connection at the front of the chassis.

It is designed for DL3XX Gen12 SFF/EDSFF CTO servers (DL320, DL325 and DL360 Gen12) and occupies Box 4 and Box 5 in the chassis. It is not supported on 4LFF, 12LFF or GPU CTO servers. The optical drive installation does not require an 8SFF backplane, and with this kit selected the DL325 Gen12 SFF/EDSFF CTO server supports up to 3 backplanes.
