Description

The Intel Xeon 6780E 144-core server processor delivers 2.2 GHz base frequency (up to 3.0 GHz turbo) within a 330 W TDP. Built on the Sierra Forest Efficient-core design, it targets high-density, scale-out workloads where performance per watt and core count matter most, and is supplied by HPE as a processor option for ProLiant Compute Gen12 servers.

With 144 cores and 144 threads, 108 MB of L3 cache, eight DDR5-6400 memory channels with ECC support, and PCIe 5.0 connectivity, it suits cloud-native, web-tier and containerised deployments. Two-socket scalability is supported via four UPI links, and compatibility covers the HPE ProLiant Compute DL340 Gen12, DL340e Gen12 and DL380a Gen12.
