The HPE 6.4TB NVMe Gen5 High Performance Mixed Use E3.S SSD (PS1030) is an EDSFF E3.S EC1 form factor solid state drive engineered for demanding mixed-use workloads including Big Data analytics, HPC, cloud computing, database, and virtualisation. Communicating directly to applications over the PCIe Gen 5 bus, it delivers sequential I/O bandwidth and low latency far beyond what traditional 2.5-inch SAS or SATA SSDs can achieve — with up to 1.2M random read IOPS and 822K random write IOPS at queue depth 256. At 3.43 DWPD endurance and 40,062 TBW lifetime writes, it is built for sustained, high-intensity enterprise storage demands.

The E3.S form factor dramatically increases NVMe drive density within HPE Compute Mainstream Platforms, supporting up to 20 drives in a 1U server or 36 drives in a 2U server. Full data-path error detection, hot-plug capability, and improved power and thermal management make it an ideal foundation for scale-out storage infrastructure.
