The Intel Xeon Gold 6554S is a 36-core, 72-thread server processor from the 5th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable family (Emerald Rapids), supplied as an HPE option kit for ProLiant Gen11 servers. It runs at 2.2GHz base and up to 4.0GHz max turbo with 180MB cache and a 270W TDP, giving virtualisation, database and AI inference hosts a high core count in a dual-socket-capable platform.

The processor uses the FCLGA4677 socket and supports 8-channel DDR5-5200 memory (1 DPC) up to 4TB with ECC, plus PCIe 5.0 with 80 lanes. Built-in accelerators including Intel AMX, QAT, DLB and DSA offload AI, crypto, networking and data movement tasks, while Intel Speed Select Technology lets administrators tune performance profiles to suit the workload.
