The HPE P64521-B21 is a ProLiant DL325 Gen11 4SFF x4 NVMe drive cage kit that adds four small form factor NVMe U.3 Basic Carrier (BC) drive bays to the server. Each bay is configured with x4 NVMe lanes, making it suited to high-performance local storage in 1U AMD EPYC rack deployments.

The kit supports NVMe U.3 SSDs in a direct attach 4SFF x4 NVMe configuration without a storage controller. It can also be paired with a PCIe or OCP storage controller and cable kit for SAS, SATA or U.3 NVMe options, as listed in the HPE QuickSpecs. NVMe U.2 SSDs are not supported.
