Description

The HPE P61179-B21 is a 3.84TB NVMe Gen5 Read Intensive SSD in the hot-plug EDSFF E3.S form factor with an EC1 thin carrier, SPDM support and a Micron CM7-based design. It is built for read-heavy server workloads such as databases, AI/ML, read caching, web serving and boot or swap volumes on supported HPE Gen11 and Gen12 servers.

PCIe Gen5 delivers far higher bandwidth and lower latency than SAS or SATA SSDs, with up to 13,852 MiB/s sequential read and over 1.2 million random read IOPS. The E3.S form factor allows greater NVMe drive density than 2.5-inch SFF, and digitally signed firmware with SPDM support helps secure device authentication.
