The ProLiant DL385 Gen11 2SFF Tri-Mode U.3 x4 Basic Carrier side-by-side drive cage kit adds two small form factor drive bays to a DL385 Gen11 server. The U.3 x4 tri-mode backplane supports SATA, SAS and NVMe U.3 drives, so one cage can take in a mix of storage tiers. It mounts side-by-side in the front/universal media bay position.

The kit uses Basic Carrier drives, the carrier type used across the DL385 Gen11 platform, and requires a tri-mode controller (direct attach is not supported). It is suited to expanding front-accessible storage in an existing DL385 Gen11 build.
