Description

The Intel Xeon Platinum 8461V is a 48-core, 96-thread processor supplied as an HPE option for HPE ProLiant Gen11 servers. Running at a 2.2GHz base frequency with turbo up to 3.7GHz and a 300W TDP, this 1S-only part is a virtualisation-optimised choice for single-socket servers that need high core density and memory bandwidth.

Based on the 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable (Sapphire Rapids) platform, it provides 97.5MB of cache, 8-channel DDR5 memory support, and PCIe 5.0 with 80 lanes. Built-in accelerators and Intel Advanced Matrix Extensions (AMX) support AI inference, networking, storage and security workloads.
