Description

The 4th Gen Intel Xeon Platinum 8490H server processor is a 60-core, 120-thread CPU for HPE ProLiant Gen11 servers, supplied as an HPE option kit. It runs at a 1.9GHz base clock with up to 3.5GHz turbo and a 350W TDP, making it suited to demanding virtualisation, database, analytics and AI workloads.

Built on the Sapphire Rapids platform, it provides 8-channel DDR5-4800 memory support up to 4TB, 80 PCIe 5.0 lanes and four UPI links at 16 GT/s for scalability up to 8 sockets. Integrated accelerators including AMX, QuickAssist, Dynamic Load Balancer, Data Streaming and In-memory Analytics help offload specialised tasks from the CPU cores.
