Description

The Intel Xeon Gold 6438Y+ server processor option kit delivers 32 cores and 64 threads at a 2.0GHz base frequency, boosting up to 4.0GHz, with 60MB of L3 cache and a 205W TDP. It is built on the 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable (Sapphire Rapids) platform and suits HPE ProLiant Gen11 servers such as the DL380, DL360 and ML350, making it a strong choice for virtualisation, databases, analytics and AI inference workloads.

The processor uses the LGA4677 socket with eight DDR5 memory channels running up to 4800 MT/s, up to 80 PCIe 5.0 lanes and three 16 GT/s UPI links for dual-socket scalability. Built-in accelerators including Intel AMX, QuickAssist, DSA, DLB and IAA help offload demanding tasks.
