The LTO-6 Ultrium RW data tape cartridge is a rewritable backup and long-term archive medium that stores 2.5TB native or 6.25TB compressed per cartridge at 2.5:1 compression. Supplied as a single rewritable (RW) cartridge, it suits organisations standardising on LTO-6 for offline backup, disaster recovery copies and archive retention.

The cartridge is compatible with LTO-6 tape drives and autoloaders including StoreEver LTO-6 drives and MSL2024, MSL4048 and MSL8096 libraries. It supports hardware AES 256-bit encryption and includes a cartridge memory chip for faster access and media monitoring, while the simplified tape path reduces wear and debris build-up in automated library environments.
