The HPE StoreEver MSL2024 Gen4 is a 2U rack-mount LTO tape library with 24 cartridge slots, supplied as a 0-drive base library with no tape drives installed. It accepts up to two LTO-9 or LTO-8 Ultrium drives with SAS or Fibre Channel interfaces, making it a flexible backup and archive platform for small and mid-size environments.

With LTO-9 drives fitted, the library scales to 432 TB native or 1.08 PB compressed capacity at 2.5:1, with native transfer rates of up to 2.16 TB/hr using two drives. An integrated bar code reader, web-based remote management over a 10/100/1000 RJ-45 port and tool-free drive upgrades simplify day-to-day operation, while drives can be reused in HPE MSL3040 or MSL6480 libraries for investment protection.
