Description

The Fortinet SP-CABLE-CRS is a cross-over Ethernet patch cable with RJ-45 connectors, designed to link two like devices directly without a switch. The transmit and receive pairs are crossed, which suits back-to-back connections such as FortiGate to FortiGate or NIC to NIC. It is listed for use with all Fortinet systems.

A cross-over cable is handy for bench testing, temporary point-to-point links and legacy equipment that lacks auto-MDI/MDI-X. For standard device-to-switch connections, the straight-through counterpart is SP-CABLE-STR.
