Description

The FIM-7920E is a hot-swappable I/O interface module for the FortiGate 7000E series chassis, delivering 4x 100G QSFP28 data ports, 2x 10GE SFP+ base channel ports and 4x GE RJ45 management ports. It is the QSFP28 variant of the FortiGate 7000E interface module line, suited to high-capacity data centre and carrier-grade firewall deployments that need dense 100GE connectivity.

Built on SPU DP2 acceleration with an integrated switch fabric, the module performs session-aware load balancing across the FPM processor modules in the chassis. It can be installed in FortiGate 7030E, 7040E and 7060E chassis, and the 100GE QSFP28 ports can be split into 4x 10GE interfaces using supported transceivers or breakout cabling.
