Description

The Fortinet FIM-7910E is a hot-swappable I/O module for the FortiGate 7000E chassis, built for high-throughput data centre and carrier-grade firewall deployments. It provides 4x 100GE CFP2 data ports, 2x 10GE SFP+ base channel ports and 4x GE RJ45 management ports, with 2x SFP+ SR transceivers included in the box.

As an SPU DP2-accelerated networking blade, it uses an integrated switch fabric to distribute sessions across the FPM processor modules in FortiGate 7040E and 7060E chassis. The 10GE base channel ports handle heartbeat, session sync and management between chassis, while the four copper ports give dedicated out-of-band management access.

• Hardware Warranty: All Fortinet hardware products come with a 1-year (365 days) limited warranty from the Warranty Start Date, covering material defects in workmanship when compared to the published Functional Specifications.
• Software Warranty: Fortinet software is warranted for 90 days from the Warranty Start Date. An exception is FortiToken, which carries a 1-year warranty.
• Limited Lifetime Warranty Products:
Some products are covered by extended terms:
o FortiAP and FortiSwitch (excluding FortiSwitch-5000 series) include a limited lifetime warranty valid for 5 years beyond the product’s announced end-of-life date.
o FortiSwitch-5000 series is covered under the standard 1-year hardware warranty.
