Description

The Fortinet FAP-831F-N is a Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) tri-radio indoor access point built for high-density environments such as lecture halls, auditoriums and busy open-plan offices. It delivers 8x8 MU-MIMO on the 5 GHz band at up to 4,804 Mbps and 4x4 MU-MIMO on 2.4 GHz at up to 1,147 Mbps, with a 5 GbE RJ45 PoE input and a secondary 1 GbE RJ45 port.

A dedicated dual-band scanning radio supports continuous WIPS/WIDS and spectrum analysis without affecting client service, while the integrated BLE radio supports beacons and locationing. The access point is managed by FortiGate or from the cloud, and ceiling, T-rail and wall mounting is supported with the included kit.
