Description

The Arista OSFP-800G-2XDR4 is an 800G OSFP optical transceiver engineered for high-density AI, HPC, and cloud data centre spine-leaf deployments. Supporting 8x 100GBASE-FR or 2x 400G-XDR4 breakout operation over parallel single-mode fibre, it delivers 800 Gbps aggregate throughput across dual MPO-12 APC connectors with up to 2km reach on G.652 SMF. Eight 100G PAM-4 electrical and optical lanes per direction ensure signal integrity at maximum line rates, while the OSFP form factor runs 5–15°C cooler than QSFP-DD equivalents for superior thermal performance in dense chassis.

The OSFP-800G-2XDR4 interoperates with 2x 400G-XDR4 OSFP and QSFP-DD transceivers as well as 8x 100G-FR QSFPs, enabling flexible fabric connectivity without optical breakout cables for 800G-to-2x400G links. It also supports 4x 200G breakout services and includes full Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM/DOM) for real-time per-lane health visibility.
