A: No. This is a QSFP+ to QSFP+ cable designed for 40GBASE-CR4, where all four lanes are bonded into a single 40Gb/s Ethernet link. For independent 10Gb/s lane access, a QSFP+ to 4x SFP+ breakout cable is required, which splits the four lanes into separate 10GBASE-CU SFP+ connectors.

Q: Does cable length affect power consumption or signal quality?
A: Passive copper cables do not consume additional power based on length, as they have no active components. However, longer cables experience greater signal attenuation, and the 5m length represents the practical limit for 40Gb/s passive copper before bit error rates degrade.
