Description

The Allied Telesis x540L-28XTm is a 10 Gigabit Layer 3 stackable switch built for high-speed distribution and enterprise campus deployments. It delivers 24 x 100M/1/2.5/5/10G Multi-Gigabit copper ports alongside 4 x 1/10G SFP/SFP+ uplinks, enabling flexible high-density connectivity across mixed-speed environments. VCStack™ support allows up to four units to be managed as a single virtual device, simplifying operations and providing resilient, scalable infrastructure.

Powered by the modular AlliedWare Plus operating system, the x540L-28XTm supports OSPF, BGP, and static routing (up to 1,000 static/256 dynamic routes), 4,094 VLANs, QoS, and DoS attack prevention. Autonomous Management Framework Plus (AMF+) enables zero-touch provisioning and automated network management, while the integrated Autonomous Wave Control (AWC) adds wireless AP visibility without a dedicated controller. This AU Power Cord variant ships ready for Australian deployments. Visit iptrading.com.au to secure your order — enterprise-grade hardware with expert support.

FAQs

Q: How many units can be stacked with the AT-x540L-28XTm?
A: Up to 4 x540L-series units can be stacked using Allied Telesis VCStack™ technology, allowing them to be managed, configured, and monitored as a single logical device — simplifying administration and improving network resilience.

Q: Does this switch support dynamic routing protocols like OSPF and BGP?
A: Yes. The x540L-28XTm is a full Layer 3 switch running AlliedWare Plus, which supports OSPF, BGP, and static routing (up to 1,000 static and 256 dynamic routes), making it suitable for enterprise distribution and core switching roles.

Q: What SFP/SFP+ modules are compatible with the 4 uplink ports?
A: The 4 x SFP/SFP+ ports support Allied Telesis 1000Mbps SFP modules, 10GbE SFP+ modules, and direct attach cables (DACs), giving you flexibility for fibre or copper uplink connectivity depending on your infrastructure.

Q: Does the x540L-28XTm include a wireless controller?
A: Yes. The switch includes Allied Telesis Autonomous Wave Control (AWC), an integrated wireless controller feature that allows IT teams to discover, configure, and monitor access points directly from the switch without requiring a separate hardware controller.
