Description

The Allied Telesis x240-26GHXm is a 24-port Multi-Gigabit Layer 3 Lite Managed Switch purpose-built for high-density edge deployments. Each of its 24 x 10M/100M/1/2.5/5G PoE++ ports delivers up to 90W (IEEE 802.3bt), making it ideal for powering Wi-Fi 6 access points, 4K IP cameras, IoT sensors, and IP phones over existing Cat5e infrastructure. Two 1G/10G SFP/SFP+ uplinks provide flexible high-speed connectivity to core switches, with a 280 Gbps switching fabric and 208.3 Mpps forwarding rate ensuring no bottlenecks at the network edge. This SKU ships with an AU Power Cord.

Running Allied Telesis's AlliedWare Plus enterprise OS, the x240-26GHXm supports stackable operation (up to 2 units), Autonomous Management Framework Plus (AMF+) for zero-touch network management, EPSRing and G.8032 ERPS for resilient ring topologies, and OpenFlow v1.3 for SDN integration. Vista Manager integration enables visual network administration and reporting. In stock and ready to ship from iptrading.com.au — order now for fast dispatch.

FAQs

Q: Can the x240-26GHXm power Wi-Fi 6 access points that require more than 30W?
A: Yes. Each of the 24 PoE++ ports delivers up to 90W (IEEE 802.3bt), which comfortably powers Wi-Fi 6 tri-radio APs, PTZ cameras, and other high-wattage devices — no external PoE injector required.

Q: Do I need to upgrade my existing copper cabling to support Multi-Gigabit speeds?
A: No. The x240-26GHXm's Multi-Gigabit ports (2.5G and 5G) are designed to operate over standard Cat5e and Cat6 cabling, so you can achieve higher throughput to end devices without a costly cabling infrastructure upgrade.

Q: How does stacking work on the x240-26GHXm?
A: Up to two x240-26GHXm units can be stacked together for enhanced network edge resiliency and simplified management. Stacking uses dedicated stacking connections and is managed through AlliedWare Plus as a single logical device.

Q: What is AMF Plus and how does it simplify management?
A: Autonomous Management Framework Plus (AMF+) enables zero-touch provisioning, automated backup and restore, and rolling software upgrades across the network. It significantly reduces the time and expertise required to manage and recover network devices.

Q: Is this the AU Power Cord variant and can I order it in Australia?
A: Yes — SKU AT-x240-26GHXm-40 includes an AU Power Cord and is available directly from iptrading.com.au. IP Trading is an Australian B2B IT hardware reseller with stock on hand for fast dispatch.

Q: Does the x240-26GHXm support SDN or OpenFlow integration?
A: Yes. The switch supports OpenFlow v1.3, allowing it to integrate into software-defined networking (SDN) environments. It also integrates with Allied Telesis Vista Manager for visual network monitoring and administration.
