Check Point Quantum ranges and CPAC parts explained

Check Point groups its firewalls into Quantum ranges by size of site. Accessories use their own part number prefix, so it helps to know both.

Quantum ranges

  • Quantum Spark: firewalls for small business and branch offices, with cloud management options and models with Wi-Fi or cellular
  • Quantum Force: enterprise security gateways for head offices, campuses and data centres
  • Quantum Maestro and Lightspeed: high scale and very high throughput platforms for the largest networks

Part number prefixes

  • CPAP: Check Point appliances, the firewall hardware itself
  • CPAC: Check Point accessories, such as interface cards, transceivers, rack kits and power supplies
  • CPAC-TR: transceivers, with the speed and type in the code, such as 10G SR

Check the CPAC part is listed as compatible with your appliance model before ordering.

Security subscriptions. Threat prevention, URL filtering, sandboxing and updates come with Check Point subscription packages and ThreatCloud intelligence. Budget for the subscription term with the hardware.
