Description

The Moxa MGate MB3270 is a 2-port Modbus TCP/RTU/ASCII gateway that bridges serial Modbus devices onto Ethernet networks. This standard 0 to 60°C model provides two software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial ports without serial isolation, with two 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports on a single IP address. It supports both master and slave operation, handling up to 16 TCP masters in slave mode or 32 TCP slaves in master mode.

The serial redirector function lets existing serial masters keep working without changes to the Modbus RTU/ASCII network or software, and allows serial and TCP masters to access serial slaves at the same time. Redundant dual 12 to 48 VDC power inputs, built-in Ethernet cascading, a relay output for link and power status, and DIN-rail mounting suit industrial automation cabinets.
