Description

The MGate MB3180 is a 1 serial port Modbus gateway that converts between Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU/ASCII. It supports up to 16 simultaneous TCP masters and up to 31 RTU/ASCII slaves on its single software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial port, making it a practical way to bring serial Modbus devices onto an Ethernet network.

Auto Device Routing simplifies configuration, with routing by TCP port, IP address or ID mapping. The metal IP30 housing and 12 to 48 VDC input suit industrial control cabinets, and the gateway can be set up through the web console, Device Search Utility, MGate Manager, MCC Tool or Telnet. The MB3180 is part of the MGate MB3180/MB3280/MB3480 series.
