Description

The MGate MB3170I is a 1-port industrial Modbus gateway that converts between Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU/ASCII. It supports serial-to-Ethernet and serial master to serial slave communication, and this variant adds 2 kV serial isolation with copper Ethernet and a 0 to 60°C operating range. It supports up to 32 TCP clients and 32 TCP servers, making it well suited to integrating serial Modbus devices into an Ethernet-based control or SCADA network.

The single serial port is software selectable between RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485, and dual 10/100 Ethernet ports allow devices to be cascaded. Routing by IP address, TCP port or ID mapping, plus Auto-Device Routing, simplifies setup. The DIN-rail mountable IP30 housing runs from a 12 to 48 VDC supply.
