Moxa model names start with a family code that tells you what the product does. Learn the codes and the range becomes easy to navigate.

Switches

  • EDS: DIN rail Ethernet switches, unmanaged and managed
  • SDS: smart switches for simpler networks
  • IKS: rackmount industrial switches
  • PT and TN: switches for power substations (PT) and rail and transport (TN)

Serial and protocol

  • NPort: serial device servers that put RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 devices on Ethernet. See terminal servers.
  • MGate: protocol gateways, such as Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP. See Modbus gateways.
  • UPort: USB to serial adapters
