Description

The Moxa NPort S9650I-8F-2HV-SSC-T is a rack-mount rugged serial device server that combines a managed Ethernet switch with an 8-port RS-232/422/485 server. The serial ports use multi-mode ST fibre connectors, while the Ethernet side provides 2 x 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports and 2 x 100BaseFX single-mode SC fibre ports. This high-voltage (HV) model accepts 88-300 VDC or 85-264 VAC and operates from -40 to 85°C, making it suited to power substation and harsh industrial environments.

Built to IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 for power substations, it supports Modbus TCP and DNP3 protocol conversion, hardware-based IEEE 1588v2 PTP and IRIG-B time synchronisation, and redundant Ethernet through Turbo Ring, Turbo Chain and RSTP. Secure management is provided through HTTPS/SSL, SSH, RADIUS and TACACS+.
