Description

The Moxa NPort S9650I-8F-2HV-E-T is a rugged 8-port RS-232/422/485 serial device server with multi-mode ST fibre serial connections, built for harsh substation and utility environments. It pairs 2 x 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 Ethernet ports with IEEE 1588v2 support, a wide 88-300 VDC / 85-264 VAC high-voltage power input and a -40 to 85°C operating range.

A built-in managed Ethernet switch provides Turbo Ring/Chain and RSTP/STP redundancy, while support for DNP3, Modbus and IEC 61850 MMS protocols makes it suited to power automation networks. Real COM/TTY drivers for Windows and Linux allow legacy serial equipment to be connected to modern IP networks, and compliance with IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 supports substation deployment.
