Description

The Moxa NPort S9650I-8-2HV-MSC-T is a rugged 19-inch rack-mount serial device server with 8 RS-232/422/485 ports, designed for power substation and utility automation. It combines two 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports with a 2-port multi-mode SC fibre Ethernet module, dual high-voltage power inputs (88-300 VDC / 85-264 VAC) and an extended -40 to 85 C operating range.

Hardware-based IEEE 1588v2 PTP, IEC 61850 MMS, Modbus and DNP3 gateway support, plus Turbo Ring, Turbo Chain and RSTP redundancy make it suited to power SCADA and critical infrastructure networks. The unit is IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 certified, with 2 kV serial isolation and 4 kV serial surge protection for harsh electrical environments.
