Description

The NPort 5450AI-M12-CT is a railway-grade 4-port RS-232/422/485 serial device server that connects serial equipment to an Ethernet network. M12 connectors handle both Ethernet and power, and the 4-port model accepts 12 to 48 VDC input with a PCB conformal coating, operating from -25 to 55°C. It complies with EN 50121-4 and all mandatory EN 50155 test items, making it suited to rolling stock and trackside deployments.

Each DB9 male serial port offers 2 kV isolation and software-selectable RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 mode with automatic data direction control. Real COM and Real TTY drivers for Windows and Linux, along with standard TCP and UDP operation modes, allow existing serial applications to run over Ethernet. Web-based 3-step configuration, SNMP monitoring and trap or email alerts simplify setup and ongoing management.
