Description

The Moxa NPort Express DE-211 is a compact 1-port RS-232/422/485 serial device server that connects serial equipment to a 10 Mbps Ethernet network. It uses a DB25 female serial connector and a 10BaseT RJ45 port with auto MDI/MDI-X, and accepts a 12 to 30 VDC power input, making it well suited to retrofitting legacy serial devices such as instruments, controllers and card readers onto a TCP/IP network.

The serial port supports 4-wire and 2-wire RS-485 with automatic data direction control (ADDC), baudrates up to 230.4 kbps, and a DIP switch to select the interface. Windows Real COM and Linux Real TTY drivers, along with TCP Server/Client, UDP and Pair Connection modes, make integration straightforward, while the metal housing and 15 kV ESD serial protection suit demanding installations.
