Description

The Moxa CP-118U is an 8-port RS-232/422/485 universal PCI serial board for point-of-sale, ATM and industrial applications. It uses a 32-bit Universal PCI bus and a DB62 female connector, and this non-isolated version is intended for installations that do not require optical isolation. Each port is software-selectable between RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485, so one board can serve a mix of serial devices.

A 128-byte FIFO and baudrates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps support reliable high-speed serial communication. Built-in Tx/Rx LEDs for each port simplify troubleshooting, drivers are available for Windows, Linux and UNIX, and up to 8 boards can be installed in a single PC for large port counts.
