Description

The MGate MB3170I-IEX is a 1-port Modbus TCP to Modbus RTU/ASCII gateway with 2 kV serial isolation and IECEx hazardous-location certification, 0 to 55°C. It bridges serial Modbus devices onto Ethernet networks and also supports Modbus serial master to serial slave communication, making it well suited to industrial automation, process control and Zone 2 hazardous-area deployments.

The software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial port connects up to 31 Modbus RTU/ASCII slaves, while the gateway can connect to up to 32 Modbus TCP servers and be accessed by up to 32 Modbus TCP clients. Dual 10/100 Ethernet ports with built-in cascading simplify wiring, and redundant 12 to 48 VDC power inputs plus a relay output support reliable operation in the field.
